June and July have been seen numerous weather records…
- We had the hottest day in Seattle history with that 103 degrees on July 29
- The low that day was 71, marking the first time in Seattle weather records that the temperature failed to drop below 70 at some point during the day
- There was virtually no rain with an official 0.06 inches of precipitation
- We had five days above 90 degrees; we usually don’t have that many all summer
- July followed an also very dry (0.18 inches of rain) and warm (three degrees above normal) June
- There were a record 29 consecutive days without rain (May 20-June 17)
