2016 Almost Over

Christmas Eve
Wow! Another year gone by just like that. Here we, just taking it easy on Christmas eve.
Christmas Cookies
This year we varied our neighborhood Christmas treats to include brownies and peanut butter blossoms in addition to some traditional iced Christmas cookies. Everything turned out great.
Lucy Visit
We were pleased to have a visit from Mary Anderson and our favorite canine friend, Lucy. We gave Lucy her Christmas present early and she took seconds to destroy the wrapping and extricate the ball on a rope. The ball lasted only slightly longer.

Coldest day in over two-and-a-half years:
Snow Day
I think this is the heaviest snowfall we’ve had in three years or so; looks like about 14 inches in our yard:
Crows in the Snow
The crows have been very regular visitors this year and the snow seems to have brought out a larger than usual group.
Issaquah Birds
While Trisha was getting a new coiffure, I walked along the Rainier trail in Issaquah. There wasn’t much wildlife but I did spy these two mallards were relaxing the in the creek, in spite of the very cold temperatures; and one crow.
Tired Coco
Coco, the Mt. Si Sports & Fitness gym dog, was already exhausted by 9:00.
