A small forest fire broke out some time early Friday afternoon on the south side of Mt. Si, about a mile and one half from our house. For those who have visited us, it’s about 400 feet up the slope of the mountain, perhaps a quarter of the mile east of the Little Si trail head. Fire fighters are still working on it this afternoon and we have a lot of smoke in the valley. It’s like having a big camp fire burning all the day and night.
