New Mexico trip – Bandelier Natl Monument

Drove from Santa Fe to Bandelier NM (http://www.nps.gov/band/). Afternoon on to Los Alamos where we spent some time in the Bradbury Science Museum and watched a movie about the development of the atomic bomb and history of the city.

Back in Santa Fe we had time to browse a few more galleries and finished the day with dinner at Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe to celebrate my birthday.

Golf – Black Mesa GC, New Mexico

Back to Black Mesa again. Played worse than Friday (four pars but also four triple bogeys for a 99) but still a fun course. Trisha and Susan Fusco investigated some of the Santa Fe galleries. Dinner at La Casa Sena.

Golf – Paa-Ko Ridge, New Mexico

11:50 tee time with Tim Fusco at Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club just outside Albuquerque. Lush, 27-hole layout. Played poorly (101) with just two pars and nine double-bogeys. Still a beauteous sunny day. Afterwads, drove to Albuquerque Airport to pick up Trisha. Back to Santa Fe; informal dinner with Fusco’s in their condo room.

Golf – Black Mesa GC, New Mexico

9:10 tee time with Tim Fusco at Black Mesa Golf Club about 25 miles north of Santa Fe. Beautiful, challenging, interesting course: it appears in the “top 100 courses” lists of several golf magazines. Didn’t play very well, shooting a 96 with just two pars and one birdie.

New Mexico trip – Seattle to Santa Fe

Mid-morning flight: Seattle to Denver to Albuquerque. With only a 35-minute lay-over in Denver I made the flight to Albuquerque but my luggage didn’t. Had to wait two-and-half hours for the next plane. Drove to Santa Fe arriving after 8:00 p.m. Picked up food for dinner at Whole Foods. Below is one of several dramatic sunsets we were treated to.

Golf – Hawk’s Prairie, Links Course, Lacey, WA

I love Hawks Prairie. First time on the Links Course and I like it much better than the Woodlands tract–bigger fairways. Shot a respectable 90.

Cirque du Soleil

Trisha and I attended the Cirque du Soleil performance of Corteo at Marymoore Park. It was another wondrous spectacle and we can’t wait for the next Cirque appearance.

Golf – The Home Course, DuPont, WA

Golf at The Home Course in DuPont, WA; a really beautiful layout with great views. Played OK on a weirdly warm (80-ish degree) day; shot 92 from the blue tees.

Elk fence installed

At last! The 8-ft. fence is up and (hopefully) the elk are forever banished from the back yard.
