500th Round of Golf

Eighteen holes at Mt. Si for my 500th official round of golf. Shot a solid 87 with eight pars; could have been so much better without an 8 on number fifteen.
Golf – Off to Charleston, SC
Depart for Charleston en route to Myrtle Beach for three days of golf.
Mt. St. Helens
Day trip to Mt. Saint Helens with Trisha’s sister, Tessa. A delightful day with some good views of the mountain.
Golf – Ron Lee Tournament at Mt. Si

Shot personal best-ever round of 78, even-par 36 on the front. Ended up with 8 pars and 3 birdies. Won the tournament and split $6,700 in prize money with my playing partner.
Las Vegas – Cirque du soleil

We spent the afternoon wandering the main Las Vegas strip and got lost in Caesar’s Palace. It took us a couple of hours and miles of walking to finally get out. The day had a super finish, though: we attended a fabulous Cirque du soleil show–“Ka” at the MGM Grand hotel. And what a grand theater it is. We had big cushy seats with speakers embedded in the backs and the staging was way more elaborate than the travelling shows we’ve seen in Seattle. It didn’t hurt to have that nearly half gallon piña colada to go with our popcorn.

Broke 85 for the first time

I shot 84 at Mt. Si to get under 85 for the first time (after 111 18-hole rounds). Seven pars and one birdie.
Golf – Stoneridge GC, Prescott, AZ

8:59 tee time with Nicelys and Tim Fusco at Stoneridge. Fabulous course; shot a pathethic 104 with 49 putts. Yes, the greens were tough but…
