Wow! Warmest Seattle February By a Lot
The average low for the month of February was 43 degrees, besting the previous 1958 mark of 41.7 degrees. The average daily high was 54.5. And only two rainy days over the last three weeks of the month.
A Break in the Grayness
In our periods of relentless drizzle and gray, the clouds often part to give us brief glimpses of blue and lovely clouds. Late this afternoon we had just a few minutes of clearing and got this view from the front step:

While driving back to North Bend from Bellevue this afternoon I got some lovely views of the mountains just west of Mt. Si. We have the best of winter: fantastic views and clear, snow-free roads.
Wierd Weather
The official high temperature at SeaTac today was 66 degrees, the warmest December day in Seattle history (and, strangely, the same temp as on our visit to Death Valley in October). Here in North Bend, we got up to a toasty 67 degrees, the warmest it’s been since the middle of September.

I don’t think I’ve built a snowman in maybe half a century… Conditions were perfect this afternoon; heavy, wet snow and mild weather.
