Horses in Pasture
I was driving to Snoqualmie Falls to take a few pictures when I noticed the two horses in the pasture in front of Mt. Si. We often see these critters on our way to the gym each morning and it was nice to get a good photo of them.
Pesky Hawk
The back yard hawk has been around quite frequently this winter. He was back again this morning, perched just outside Trisha’s office window.

Winter Just Keeps Coming
The snow from January just melted away last week and now we get another inch or so….
Back yard and some of the juncos queued up waiting for me to clear the patio and for Trisha to put out some seed.
Albuquerque Botanic Garden
Our first stop on the trip was the Albuquerque Botanic Garden. On a very chilly and windy day we confined our visit to the enclosed desert and tropical plant areas.
Crows in the Snow
The crows have been very regular visitors this year and the snow seems to have brought out a larger than usual group.

Issaquah Birds
While Trisha was getting a new coiffure, I walked along the Rainier trail in Issaquah. There wasn’t much wildlife but I did spy these two mallards were relaxing the in the creek, in spite of the very cold temperatures; and one crow.
Tired Coco
Coco, the Mt. Si Sports & Fitness gym dog, was already exhausted by 9:00.
Another Possum Visit
I finally got a reasonable photo of our possum. What a homely critter he is.

More Nocturnal Visitors
The raccoons seem to be visiting nearly every night nowadays (although we’ve also seen an opossum a couple of times as well, but he’s too shy to photograph).

Our Regular Visitor
The pileated woodpecker we’ve named “Terrence” has become a regular visitor. It’s loads of fun to watch and listen to him zip into and out of the yard.
And today he was joined by the kids.
